We dressed up like the Avengers. Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, and The Black Widow. Basically we won every costume contest (actually, we didn't go to any, but I think we would have...)

Fall Break- Boston
For a few nights during fall break, we drove down to Boston and did fun tourist-y things and just had general fun. We also met up with a lot of friends who graduated last year and now work in Boston, so it was great to see them! Here are a few of the pictures:

Climbing the Tower
So, part of my Colby bucket list was to climb Miller Tower, and on Parent's Weekend this year, my friend Shireen and I did just that! The weather let up for the weekend and the views were spectacular. I wish I could have gotten better pictures, but I only had my phone with me.

Pete and Katie's Wedding, Part 1
So on September 29, 2012 my cousin Katie got married to Pete at the ranch, and I used my free airline ticket to fly home for 72 hours and spend the amazing weekend with the family. It was so great! Katie was SOO happy all day, which in turn made everyone around her happy.
I have so many pictures of the wedding, that I will post them in two separate posts. Cool?
More pictures to follow soon!

This is their invitation that they sent out- authentic aspen leaf and handmade paper! So crafty.
Before going up to help with the hay this summer, I was privileged with the opportunity to go to one of Katie's dress fittings. This is her saying "don't worry, the boots won't be a problem."
The day of the event! Alex, me and Sarah.
Riding in the wagon up to the meadow for the ceremony: Peter (my brother, not the groom), Alex, and ring-bearer/man's best friend/dog Bailey.
Peter B. and Paul (my cousins and Katie's younger brothers) greet ceremony attenders under the aspen arch. Katie and Pete (the groom) are hugging Opah (grandfather) in the background.

Katahdin
Check that one off the bucket list! Adam and his friends from home (Kayla and Amanda) and I went up to Baxter State Park to climb Katahdin- the northernmost point on the Appalachian Trail and the highest mountain in Maine.
It was so much fun! Really difficult (almost as difficult as hiking a 14er. Haha.) But it was totally worth it and I would consider going up it again on a different trail.
The summit hidden by some clouds.
Frost.
We made it!!
Pretty serious rock climbing, actually.

Colby Bucket List
So, since this is my last year at Colby, I made myself a bucket list. And will share it with you, so not only will you know what I want to do, but it will also hold me accountable for doing everything on the list. That way, when May comes around and you ask me "did you do that thing on your bucket list?" I will be forced to do it if I haven't already done it. Make sense?
Here goes:
Here goes:
- Go Camping
- Hike Katahdin
- Spend the night at the Outing Club cabin
- Climb Miller Tower
- Take a yoga class (and subsequently, be able to touch my toes)
- Win an iPlay championship (soccer, broomball, softball, anything will do!)
- Tour the Shipyard Brewery in Portland
- Swim in the Hume Center
- Graduate
Woo!

Chalkboard Wall
The other crafty project this semester was painting a wall in our room: yes, it is against the school rules, but who can resist a chalkboard wall?
So Gabby and I went to Home Depot and bought the necessary items, and a few days later we had a functional chalkboard wall in our room! We use it to leave each other notes and it is home of our "Chore Chart" for the week.

Look at those edges! Not bad for first timers.
Gabby wanted to put on "normal" clothes to show off the wall. Haha.
We recently got colored chalk, so it's been an exciting week.
